Ireland’s new Deposit Return Scheme is now live

What is the Deposit Return Scheme?

When you buy a drink in a plastic bottle, aluminium or steel can that features the Re-turn logo, you pay a small deposit in addition to the price of the drink. When you return your empty and undamaged drink containers to participating Circle K sites, shops and supermarkets, you get your deposit back in full.

How to return your containers?

• Return your empty and undamaged containers with the Re-turn logo to any participating store or supermarket nationwide, including Circle K. A full list of our participating sites can be found below on this page.
• These empty and undamaged containers can be brought to one of our Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) or manually over the counter. The RVM will then issue a voucher once all containers have been deposited. This voucher can be redeemed in store at the till and used towards a store purchase or a cash deposit refund. The RVM voucher must be used in the store of where the voucher was issued.
• When depositing containers manually a member of staff will inspect the items to ensure they are undamaged and will then issue a voucher which can be used against your next purchase or a full cash refund.
